Drdošová, Lenka ; Hošková, Blanka (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Effect of extended physical education in children under school age. Objective: The project aims to find out whether pupils with extended physical education will achieve better results in functional muscle tests than children with standard two-hour physical education lessons per week. Methods: This is a pilot study where the quantitative nature of the research based on a comparison of the results of six functional muscle tests on shortened muscle groups predominates. Pupils were divided into two groups according to the number of physical education hours per week. Pearson's chi-square test was used to determine the level of muscle shortening, the significance level was set at α <0.05. Results: In the individual tests of functional muscle tests, pupils with three hours of physical education per week were better in most cases. Statistical analysis of the prevalence of individual types of muscle group weakness revealed a significantly better result (p ˂ 0.05) in three functional muscle tests. Specifically in postural stereotype according to Mathias, Thomayer exam and lateral flexion exam by pupils with extended TV. Key words: Muscular imbalance, younger school age, extended physical education.

Title: Compensatory Exercise in Tennis Objective: To summarize the knowledge of the unilateral load of tennis players and subsequently to propose a compensation program. Tasks: The first task of this thesis paper is to describe and explain the topic of compensatory tennis practice using available domestic and foreign literature, theses, and professional and scientific articles. The second task is to analyze the necessary components of tennis players' performance related to issues of unilateral load and imbalance from the available literature and build a program of exercises on this basis to prevent and eliminate muscle imbalance. The last task of the paper is to characterize the effect of compensatory exercises in the training for tennis players resulting from the analyzed literature and to summarize the knowledge of unilateralism in sports. Methods: Comparative analysis of literature dealing with the topic of compensatory exercise. Results: The analysis of available literature cannot clearly identify the most appropriate compensation exercise for tennis players, since the latest literature dealing with tennis compensation training was written in 1990. The proposed comprehensive compensation program for tennis players was compiled from personal experience and the analysis of the available...

Alsheikh, Mosab Saleh A ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of Patient with Lower Back Pain Aims: This thesis presents a case study of a physiotherapy approach to the treatment of lower back pain localised in the area of the lumbosacral junction, with pain sometimes radiating to the left hip. The theoretical section of this thesis explains the anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanical pathologies of the lumbar spine, while the practical section presents the case study, and discusses the examinations and treatment approaches used and the effectiveness of the therapy. Methods: The practical section is based on the case of a 70-year old male, who complained of back pain. The study consisted of physiotherapeutic approaches for an initial kinesiological examination, followed by four therapy sessions lasting an hour each, and a final kinesiological examination. All methods used were non-invasive. Results: Progress was remarkable during the four session of therapy. The patient's pain level in the lumbosacral junction and the left hip decreased to approximately 0/10 on a visual analogue scale. The therapies employed were very successful. Conclusions: The patient felt an improvement after four sessions, and that his goals, which were to the pain he felt at rest and during sleep, had been achieved. The patient was very...
Muscle imbalances among hair stylists
KOŠŤÁLOVÁ, Dominika
The bachelor thesis focuses on muscular imbalance observed on hairdressers. Overloading upper limbs is currently a serious topic. A constantly increasing number of workers with a physically demanding jobs suffering from problems arose from overburdening is alarming. Hairdressers are no exception as overloading of their upper body leads often to upper cruciate syndrome resulting in neck pain and headache, pain in the thoracic and lumbar spine, bad position of pelvis and even leg pain. Upper limbs cannot be approached as just muscles, they have a dynamic and everchanging aspect. Furthermore, every patient needs individual therapy taking many aspects into account of which very important is especially connection between overall body posture, breathing and sole of the foot. The thesis aims to find and describe muscular imbalance cases among a specific group of hairdressers who have been preparing for a physically demanding job. Based on the observation, a concept of specific physiotherapy methodics is derived to prevent functional disorders of the musculoskeletal systém and to determine what effect will a custom excercise unit have on muscular imbalance among the test group. For the practical part of the thesis, qualitative research method will be used to deliver results from two probands. An input and output kinesiology analysis, excercise unit design including an illustration motivating a patient to regular excercise, mid-term evaluation and subsequent processing by casuistry are a part of the research. The theoretical part consists of anatomical and kinesiological description of the axial body, shoulder girdle and lower limbs. Second chapter is dedicated to muscular imbalance. Third chapter is focused on excercise unit methodics and individual excercises preventing muscular imbalance. The bachelor thesis can be used to prevent muscular imbalance among hairdressers and stylists in practice, as a case study for physiology students, for physiotherapists's clinical practice or as a public material.

Development of muscular imbalance in the shoulder girdle in volleyball players
VRBOVÁ, Lucie
This bachelor?s thesis deals with the development of muscular imbalance in the shoulder girdle in volleyball players. The volleyball player?s shoulder is the most exposed and vulnerable joint. In addition, the way the sport has developed, the pressure on this joint has grown. Shoulder pain limits the player?s most important move: the strength and the power of the smash and the smash serve. This thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and a practical. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy and the biomechanics of the shoulder girdle, and with the injuries of the shoulder joint most often experienced by the volleyball players, such that can be detected by a clinical examination. In the practical part I used qualitative research, and the appropriate diagnostics and measures to asses the effectiveness of physiotherapy. The research was carried out in the Beskydy Children?s Sanatorium in Metylovice. The research sample consisted of three volleyball players from the Metylovice Volleyball Club (SK Metylovice). Examination of the participants showed the presence of muscular imbalance in all of them; secondary damage to the shoulder joint was also detected in all participants. Any top-level physical performance will stress the body, often unevenly, and it is crucial to compensate it. The combination of a targeted physiotherapy methods and compensation exercises, together with spontaneous regeneration, can repair any damage, or even prevent it, and thus lead to an optimal function of the joints and the adjoining soft tissue. Physiotherapy plan was prepared for each participant and was then successfully followed. The final/exit examination showed a reduction in both the muscular imbalance and the secondary damage previously seen in the shoulder joint. In Appendix 2 I describe compensation exercises that should be included in any volleyball training programme, to prevent the development of muscular imbalance. This work could be used as a guide to effective repair approach to this problem. The suggested exercises aim to relax, stretch and strengthen the entire shoulder girdle, and thus increase the range of movement and the muscle power within the joint.
